Green Jiva provides you with innovative, ethical products.
We would love to hear your feedback and opinions about our products.
Please also feel free to ask any questions not covered on our website and we will do out best to answer them for you.
-
What does Green Jiva mean?‘Jiva’ is Hindi for soul. Our brand name Green Jiva reflects our Indian influences and our drive to do good and to repair the damage we have caused to the planet and to each other.
-
What are your tubes and bottles made from and are they environmentally friendly? Our tubes and bottles are made with PCR (post-consumer resin) or, in other words, 100% recycled plastic. We are committed to never using virgin plastics in our packaging; rather part of our mission is to educate people about how harmful plastics are and how to reduce and ultimately avoid using them at all.
-
Do you test on animals? No. Never. Not in a million years.
-
Are your products suitable for vegetarians and vegans?Of course they are. Green Jiva owners Jess and Andy are both vegan and this ethos and way of life was a driving force behind their decision to launch the company.
-
How do you fragrance your products?Naturally! There are no synthetic fragrances in our products, they contain solely the wonderful aromas of our essential oils.
-
How do you colour your products? We don’t! Any residual colour in our products is a result of the combination of ingredients rather than the inclusion of any synthetic colourants.
-
What is the shelf life for Green Jiva products?Up to 30 months.
-
I have sensitive skin are Green Jiva products suitable for me?We do not include parabens, silicones, SLS, sulphates, phthalates, alcohol (ethyl alcohol, ethanol) or synthetic fragrances or colourants in our products. We also include high quality, organic ingredients in our recipes to make our products as kind as possible to your skin. In addition, Jess has very sensitive skin and is prone to bouts of psoriasis. She makes a point of personally testing all of our products on her own skin. If the products don’t pass the ‘Jess test’, they simply don’t get launched.
